Lol well lets just say i REALLY like Ford vehicles. Also idk if this has been posted yet but, if you want to get some serious easy gains out of a 3.0L Vulcan engine, you can take the manifold and throttle body of a 3.0L DOHC Ford escape motor and it will add some extra pony's, add that with a Jet programmer and your talkin 2-3 seconds of your quarter time. I'm stuck with the 3.0L stamped crank for now so not much i can do there until i get me some Tom Morana forged internals :D. Good luck to you with your build hope it works out.

I didnt even think about Escapes.  Im wanting to pick up a manifold to port and polish to throw on a bigger TB would be nice.  I would also like a bigger MAF as well for the 3.0.  Im going with a SCT X3 personally instead of the JET.  And Tom Morana is the man!  I want his cams, springs, and roller rockers in my truck to start off!

When i get time, I'll try and post pics of the build that i did with me and one of my buddy's neighbors, we're both ford junkies. Hopefully it will help anyone who would like to do the mod to their truck. The only difficult to the whole build atually, is trying to find a donor vehicle or a place to get escape manifolds, I'm pretty sure the mazda tribute manifold will work too but, I havent tryed that so i couldnt confirm it.

If the interest in stuffing the 4.6L into your Ranger, here's what it looks like in a 94 Ranger.

Just have to accommodate for the supercharger on top

Let me know if you want to talk to the owner...

Had a good conversation with the owner at the car show last year, he gets his engine from a crate setup and uses a T-56 to match up.  He told me that the engine was tuned at around 400 hp but you know what the supercharger does for this engine.  Better get a 5 point harness and a drag chute. :P

Passed by him a couple of times in town, got a kickin sound, need to ask which muffler system he's got.  He did the same engine setup in a 1950 or so truck which was also at the show, should have gotten some pics.  Some of the best work i've seen around the island.

ok the engine alone as a core is worth about 1500, it is a 03-04 cobra("terminator" in mustang terms), it has the 4.6 DOHC 32v SC engine that has all forged internals,  that puts 390 to the wheels out of the box. they are awsome enginesand then you got to the rest of the car, 6 speed trans(T56), not to mention the cobra brakes and the IRS, that  hood will sell for 400 easy add the side skirts, side scoops, front and rear bumpers and trunk spoiler there is another 1000+ right there. not to mention all the seats that go for 600 or the mach 1000 stereo if it has the stereo. the super charger is only worth like 250.
