I dont think there are any.  Besides I dont know of any RBV trannies that would hold up too well behind a V8.

There may be an adapter out there, but I dont know of any stout RBV trannies with a removable bell housing.  IMO the M50D is the strongest RBV trans out there and it has an integrated bell housing.

Just a word to the wary, the 302 will eventually eat the M5OD, light duty transmission.  I learned the hard way by putting in a replacement 2nd gear to a Borg Warner "non world class" in my T5 and the torque seperated the gear into 6 different pieces.  You need a tranny that will handle up to atleast 300 ft lbs of torque like the T5 or an equivalent auto transmission, Unless you limit the 302 to 3/4 throttle.   There is many bellhousings available out there for this.  The stickshift will need to be moved no more than 3 inches back.

Don't know if the tranny used by the 4.0 rangers might be strong enough, might be something to get some info on.

I was going to do a 2.9 swap originally.  Had most of the parts to just bolt it right into the M5OD that I was already using, untill trying to scrounge for parts became more of a hassle and getting input about it having not much better performance than the 2.3. The tranny had also been overhauled for a few other problems with worn gears.

The 2.9 tranny is an A4LD right?

I know my 84 BII has a C5 transmission which actually will bolt up to a 302, but I also have a 2.8L V6...

HUGE waste of time and money. If you're going to do a V8 swap, get a V8 transmission. Do it right the first time.

I agree... If for some reason the transmission did bolt up, it probably wouldnt last too long...

you can use the c5 but.... you have to find old style of c4 bell housing you need to change the toque c and up grade the valve body. you also need the starter and flex plate. more or less what you end up with is a c4. much easier to change out the tail shaft to a c4  like i did its not hard at all.

you got that b2 up after burning the hole wiring harness out of it ,,,you can do a tail shaft swap.

yes it can be done you have to use a 87 f 150 bell houseing if i remember right and they make a adapter for it and the correct clutch but who no's how long the tranny will last. it might last for quite a while if your easy on it.
