sad day for ranger dave
« on: November 29, 2009, 03:58:54 AM »
ok so i told yall i would start a write up soon but i ran into another prob. the88 5.0 i have was running when i got it so i didnt take it apart but after spending three days pressure washing it i pulled it back out to replace some gaskets and paint it up before i put my cab back on. well as im pulling it apart i get the trans off to find out i need a new clutch ok no big. than i pull the v cover and find tons of build up (from using pennzoil) still i figure no big. than comes the intake and i broke off three bolts that are all rusted to hell. well now it needs so much work i think im just going to start over cuz it need to just be rebuilt.

so this whole time i have been postin with yall tonight i have been looking for a parts car or truck with a 5.0. i have found alot of stuff in my price range so wish me luck and hopefully ill get one soon laterz :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

ok in order to get my motor i have to take it from another badass ride here she is

what we have here is a 1958 ford fairlane 500. she is fast she is sexy and the chrome can shine better than a brand new penny. but she is in no shape to be a dd and i promissed i would give it to my younger brother. this car means alot to my dad and brother and me but i have to do it i need the ranger now no one needs the 58 this min.

at the 07 primer natsionals took first place runner up. lost to a pos grimlan.

the work horse 5.0. backed by a 5speed and a ford 9"

the rims that i powder coated before i got my hands on them.

oh my god!!!  that is one of my favorite classic cars!!!  Looks like a great 5.0 in it!  As long as you put in a new big block for the fairlane later you will be forgiven! just kidding...

i was thinking a efi 5.0 or a 4.6 twin turbo later on with a t-56 6 speed for fun and highway miles

5.0 is great but even just a procharger on a 4.6 makes 535 at the wheels!  Put 2 turbos on that sucker and you will need some slicks to keep tires in contact!

no i do alot of research to find what i want. and twin turbo on a v-8 is more daily driver than you might think. but i would be wide in the back tire wise though

that too... thats why if I ever had my choice one day for my ranger i would either have the Lightning Bolt 5.4 setup or the Tom Morana 4.4 stroker V6 ready for 20lbs of boost with forged internals...
