First Ranger
« on: March 10, 2010, 01:31:41 PM »
Just bought my first Ranger two days ago.  I sought out this site because I was a member of the explorerforum site when I had an '02 Explorer Sport, which has since moved on.  The folks on the other site were quite nice and really helpful, so I figure y'all will be too.  I was astonished at the plethora of information shared and helpful tips on the other site, so I naturally set out to find a site devoted specifically to Rangers.
I bought a 98 Ranger with the 2.5L 4 cylinder, mated to a 5 speed tranny.  So far, I have been quite pleased as it makes ample power, but I may consider a few small mods to increase it.  It already has all the add ons that I will need for now.  It has a tool box, aluminum treadplate bed top caps, bed rails, spray in liner, nerf bars, and fender well protectors.  The guy I bought it from likes chrome, so there is plenty, if not almost too much of it on there.  I will post a few pics as soon as I can find my camera.
See you all in the forums.
