Moving sucks...
« on: March 08, 2010, 07:40:30 PM »
Back in 2002 I bought my second house and swore I would never move again. We had moved around quite a bit. Then, two years later I decided to quit my job as an auto tech at the Dodge/Ford dealer and go back to college to change careers. Two years later I got a job in a county south of where I owned my home. I made the 100 mile round trip for two years and when the gas hit $4.20/gallon I decided it was time to move. Once I moved into the county I worked in, they gave me a take home car. So I went from spending $400 a month on fuel to 0. It was sweet. I still own the house up north and rent it out.

Well two nights ago, my landlord told me that she sold the house I'm renting and I have to be moved out by the end of May. Now I have to search for another house within proximity to where I'm at now. God, I hate moving!

Sucks because I need at least a 3 bedroom and a garage. They're very difficult to find around here. I also have to be very choosey about where I live because I'm a LEO and this is redneck country. We're not too well liked. Lol

end rant.

Yeah it just frustrating. The tennants who are renting my house up north say they want to buy it. They even built a deck so I know they're serious. I just wish they'd get a mortgage already. When I get out of that house loan, I can explore the option of buying another house. I hate giving money away in rent.

I think its easier to get approved on a mortgage than a car loan. My credit wasn't much better than fair and my interest rate is 5.25 on the home loan. Of course, that was back in 02 when the house market started to go to crap but wasn't crap yet.

There's alot of cheap homes on the market right now too because of all the foreclosures!
