Yea, I do siding and reno's. I use a lot of different tools. Been doing it for 25 years. I still have all my fingers and toes, but I also have a lot of scars. Another no-no is to work when you are tired. I use a cutting bench in my trade that uses a 7 1/4" circ. saw with the guard tied up so you can pull the saw towards you to cut vinyl siding. I had to cut a piece of wood so I took the saw out of the guide in order to cut the wood, made the cut and then not thinking dropped it into my knee. Normally the guard would have protected me but it was tied up. Two hour drive to the hospital and 14 stitches. I was lucky again, all I cut was skin and fat, no muscle.

It is an weary feeling when you have a nail in you.  Done the same thing.  Went to nail a stud to a bottom plate for a house wall and the wood split which then the nail went straight into my left wrist at an angle.  It probably went in about 1-2 inches.
